So who would've thought an electrician could have sorted a hot water problem? Well, after a plumber left us with an expensive bill and still no hot water, we called Bright Spark in the hope that they could at least tell us what the problem was. Cable And Lead Safety

When checking cables and leads look for the following:

Frayed and damaged cables and wires - make sure the outer covering of all power leads is in good condition and replace if necessary.

Being badly positioned - they shouldn't be anywhere that they could be tripped over, or near water, cookers or other sources of heat.

Cables running under rugs or carpets where they can wear through without anyone noticing - position them elsewhere.

Keep cables tidy and try not to bunch cables together, this can cause excessive heat.
